Meet Dr. Long
Dr. Long joined Belle Meade Chiropractic in 2008 but has been a Chiropractor since 1994. He originally graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism and worked for the newspaper in Ft. Worth, Texas. After a few years, he began searching for a way to combine his passion for health with a desire to help others. Chiropractic was a naural choice since it helped him recover from the daily headaches he suffered as a child.
He returned to school and graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, and after another 300 hours of postgraduate education, earned the title of Diplomate of Chiropractic Neurology. He is one of about 600 in the world and of only three in Tennessee.
He is also experienced in Applied Kinesiology and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. This combination of training helps in the treatment of more complex, chronic problems, and allows the treatment to focus at the root of the problem, rather than just treat the symptoms.
For the past 14 years, he has practiced in Evansville, Indiana in a large multi-dicsiplinary clinic. He and his wife have always enjoyed visiting Nashville, and decided to take advantage of their newly empty nest and move here full-time. He sought out Dr. Obersteadt because of his standing in the world of Chiropractic and Applied Kinseiology, and looks forward to a long collaberation.
